Greetings Travelers -

Alaska Island Hostel is a very small home hostel. While we try to accommodate our traveler’s various needs, it is very difficult and costly due to ferries and flights arriving and departing all times of day and night.

Please submit your reservation request online using the form below. If that is not possible, please provide the same information by:

  • Calling Us:
    • In the summer (May 1 to August 31) between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Alaska time (-9 hrs GTM).
    • In the spring, fall and winter (when we are closed) call anytime between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Alaska time (-9 hours GTM). Since we are seldom in, please leave a message with your name and suggested time and phone number to call you back.

Women ($22.75 plus 10% tax = $25/person/night)

Men ($22.75 plus 10% tax = $25/person/night)

Boys: 6 years - 17 years ($11.82 plus 10% tax = $13/child/night)

Girls: 6 years - 17 years ($11.82 plus10% tax = $13/child/night)
 
We would like to be in a family room as we are traveling with young children or traveling with older children (under 17) with mixed genders. Please provide number of men, women, boys and girls in form above and ages in the comment space at the bottom of this form.
NOTE: Couples, Private & Mixed Gender Rooms are not available at Alaska Island Hostel due to the limited space and small size of our home hostel. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce provides a listing of member B&B, hotels,vacation rentals and cabins in Petersburg.

5 PM - 8 PM in the evening - (There are lockers outside the hostel to store you gear in prior to check-in.)
Immediately after my ferry arrives between mid-night and 8AM and I will pay for the night before. Note: your bed will be ready when you arrive. (please provide arrival details above)
 

WE ARE PLANNING TO CHECK OUT ON:

DEPOSIT and CANCELLATION:
In order to hold a reservation, we require a deposit for your fist night's stay ($25 per person).

Cancellation Policy:The deposit is fully refundable if you notify Alaska Island Hostel of cancellation or changes in your reservation at least 48 hours (2 days in advance.) If you notify us less then 48 hours in advanced of cancellation or change -you will not be refunded the deposit. We reserve the option to require a larger deposit from groups of 4 or more people.
